A romantic assignation gone horribly wrong? A spy caught and executed? A victim of local witchcraft? Or just an ordinary woman in the wrong place at the wrong time? What really happened to ‘Bella’? \nA retiring police sergeant hands the case over to a young constable. Together they sift through the evidence and attempt to make sense of the multiple voices which weave through the witness statements\, correspondence and police reports\, which from the very start\, merge fact with fiction. \nDrawing from original historical documents\, this play gives ‘Bella’ back her own voice. Shipwrecked in a foreign land Viola has to rely on her wits to survive whilst those around her lead each other a merry dance. \nJoin us amongst the nightclubs of Bermuda in 1962 as this fresh new take considers how we are often our own worst enemies\, especially in matters of the heart. \nPerformed in Priory Park on the flat area to the left as you enter from The Coach House side\, this performance will take place in the open-air\, so please bring along your own chair or blanket. In the event of bad weather the performance will move to The Coach House Theatre. \nClick here to book tickets \nThis event is part of the Malvern Ink and Curtain Festival. \nFor a full list of all events in this Festival click here.
